Charlie Dore co-wrote this song with Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) after a few lines of the song appeared to her fully formed in her mind. Ricky was keen to include a ‘cowboy jamboree’ after a childhood memory where he saw one advertised on a billboard as a boy out for a drive with his parents. A year or so later, Charlie was asked to sing one of her songs as a tribute to her brother Rowan.
